Stream of Consciousness Sunday

In a quest of finding new blogs over the last week or so, I came across all.things.fadra. and love her blog! Anyways, Sundays is her link up day for stream of consciousness thoughts. Love this idea!
#SOCsunday

I have spent most of my week doing homework and I've been okay with that because I have been able to do it with all the windows in the house open with that gorgeous weather outside flowing it. It's beautiful here, I love this spring weather! I do believe the affects of leaving the windows open would explain all my severe allergies problems though. It's totally worth it. I went to the Dr. for the millionth time this week for that set of blood work to be fine to so now they are running some more bloodwork on different things. Apparently, I am a mystery. It's nice to know things are okay but also very frustarting to not know what exactly is causing all my random and weird symptoms. The worst complaint would be the extreme exhaustion. I know myself and my body to know flat out that this is not me. I have never been so bone weary tired in my life. Not even when I had 3 children ages 6, 3, and a newborn. Not even then. They are trying to figure it out. We shall see. Sir Worksalot put in a bid on a shift at work, getting this certain shift would make it amazing in terms of him being able to finish his paramedic schooling and work with a lot less stress. Right now he is considered PRN which means he takes the shifts that other Paramedics are taking off or sick or whatever the reason. There are always shifts available but it's stressful on him trying to get them to work around his school days. If he could get this full time shift, he will be on the shift that works around school every week. That would be amazing! AND we would have insurance and that's what really is needed around here. We are praying hard around here for that. It's based off senority and he is 2nd up right now, the guy in front of him has the chance to let Sir Worksalot have it for now and in 6 months they can switch shifts when he is done with school. If this guy would be kind enough to do that, it would literally change our world to the better! My 5 minutes is up.

Sleep To Come!!!

Beyond excited!!! Our new bed is to arrive Monday and I can only hope that many, many restful nights are to come!! We finally bit the bullet and spent money on a good bed but the Dr. has been recommending it for both of us for sooo long. We both have really bad back issues and he said this really is key to helping that along! It was a battle in our minds to actually spend the money on it but decide it was worth it in the end if it makes a difference! Praying that it truly does, we are extremely frugal college students with three children, this was a jump for us!

This is NOT the bed we decided on because it was like 9,000 but the kids sure did enjoy playing on it! It has temperature settings in it, lifts up and down, vibrates, all kinds of bells and whistles. They basically thought it was an awesome toy!

What is something you have had to bite the bullet on in the past and just purchase?

Giveaway Time

Anyone who knows me well, knows how much I LOVE to read. I absolutely love the feel of a book in my hands and tend to get lost in it like most people do a movie. I prefer a book any day over a movie! I will read all kinds of books and one of my favorite places is within a book store.

Love, love, love it! It's my happy place.

With that said, as much as I love to read, I don't tend to review books or tell people about what I am reading unless it is something just so fantastic that I can't help but speak about it.

This is one of those books.

One of those books you simply can not seem to put down. It's an amazing true story over the baseball player Josh Hamilton. Living in Texas and knowing anything about baseball, you can't help but hear about him. My husband kept hearing about how good his book was and really wanted it. I bought it for him for our anniversary and the weekend we went away any time we were in the hotel room, we were both fighting for turns to read it! I am not exaggerating, it was that good! He, who never reads hardly anything but westerns, finished this book in a weekend.

You don't have to know anything about baseball to like this one. It's about a man who goes down a path that most don't ever come back from. With all that said, I guess, you can gather that we love it and have told everyone we know to read it.

Fabulous Friday

Fabulous Friday

Everyone always looks forward to the weekends. We countdown the days each weekend until Friday. Will it be a busy, fun filled weekend or a relaxing , sitting at home weekend? Which ever weekend your having, I hope you enjoy it!

This was my lovely, fun filled weekend last week. A weekend with my boy. Just him, daddy, and I on Friday night. Then just him, my mom, and I on Saturday. He was spoiled rotten. If he asked, he basically received. It was his weekend. Our special date weekend with our favorite "getting too big" little guy. I love this boy.

What are you plans for the weekend? We will be enjoying ours at home this weekend, soaking up the beautiful weather that Texas is having this week!

Superbowl Recap

Our Superbowl fun! We had a blast because my mom and my girls are some serious Steelers fans and then their were a few odd ball Packers fans (my son included) that came to our house so the crazy mouthing each other was so much fun!
Part of our group
My little Cheese Head

Packers Vs. Steelers

I made all the girls Steelers dresses! They were awesome!

The very best friends

I had to post this picture because of Miss Squeakers...she really gets into football, her Maemae (that means grandma) taught her well!

And Boss Man stayed in The Aggrivators room all night playing with toys because he could care less about any football. Love my nephew, he is such a stinker! (and no the pink pillow is not my sons! He would yell if anybody thought that went in his room!)
Even though our Steeler's lost we still love them! It really was such an awesome game that none of us were complaining too much! Great job Packers!

Trapped Inside

We TEXANS are not used to this:

So, you end up stuck in the house doing things like this:

and this:

(cake in a mug, idea from Who Says 8 is Enough?)

and this:

or ya know simply losing your mind! After being stuck in the house for nearly a week, I truly thought I was going to lose my mind!!! Then we get a reprieve, the sun comes out, melts it all and we were off to enjoy our Superbowl weekend. Then today...aghhhh it snows and gets icy AGAIN! SERIOUSLY?!?! I can't possibly live in Texas can I? Where in the world is all this nasty, cold weather coming from? I say bring on the Spring weather please! Which, btw, should be here next week! Yippee! Hopefully, it will stay around for awhile. We need to thaw out!

Imagine the Pictures

I wanted to post a great picture post of our goings around here but blogger is not uploading pictures. Life is back to our crazy, rampant pace. Not sure what we are going to do with our lives when we are not going 90 to nothing. I think we will be so used to over stimulation that we might get really bored. I look forward to being bored!
Since we can't see any pictures lets proceed to a prayer request...
I had a bunch of blood work done on Monday and I am currently impatiently waiting the results. They are testing me for a slew of things. I have been extremely tired the last few months and by tired I mean bone weary exhaustion that is not normal even for our crazy life. We kept putting it off as our busy life but over the holidays I had LOADS of rest and it just never seemed to be enough. Back in October, I noticed a lump in my neck but didn't think much about it because hey we had been sick off and on in our house. Well, four months later, the lump is still there. So, with a little pushing from someone else because of many other symptoms I have going on, I went to the Dr. which has now led to a bunch of blood work. The Dr. discussed many different reasons what could be going on. They tested me for mono, it was negative. I really liked that option the best because at least it goes away eventually!
So, all these test done and I was suppose to find out what was going on today except Texas is having some psychotic weather right now and the Dr. office was closed so now I am left wondering for another day what is going on! I am impatient.
All this to say, I would love some prayers over the results because as much as I dread finding out if something is wrong, I also dread them not finding what is causing the various issues. I am exhausted and not feeling at all like myself. I would love to find some answers. I would love to get back to my normal, energetic self!
