Short Stuff

That awesome moment when you realize your 14 year old brother-in-law is taller than you. By a lot. Doesn't he look like a twin to my husband though!?! I love it! He came to church camp with us this year and it was awesome! He loved it and we loved having him there!

"Momma, can I sleep with you?"

"Momma, can I sleep with you?"
(The kicks in the back, the repeatedly being woke up, do I really want her to sleep with me while Daddy is gone?)
"Yes baby, don't forget Mickey"

As she lays beside me, I think of all the times she has played, cried, laughed, and done everything a child should do. Did I capture the memories in my heart enough? Will she remember? Will I? Do I worry too much and forget to enjoy life, enjoy my children?

I look at her and I am struck by her beauty, she truly is a beautiful child that God gave me. I love in such a way nobody could have told me I could love. Our children are perfectly imperfect and what better gift in life have we ever been given? They are beautiful, they are ours. He gives them to us to care for, teach, and love like no one else will.  We never know when our time is gone, so we have to learn to love now, cherish now, enjoy them now. Don't miss it. While they might not rememer every memory, they won't forget being loved. Love them like He loves us. What a beautiful gift His love is for us.

Surgery Fun....Beware: yucky photo below

Surgery sucks! Four years ago I had a partial hysterectomy where they removed my uterus and one ovary. I fought to save one ovary so I didn't have to be given hormones  and all the risks that go with that.
Unfortunately my doctor was correct when he said I would be back within 5 years to get other ovary removed. My one remaining ovary had a very large cyst on it and he assumed correctly that it was covered with endometriosis. What none of us expected was the extent of how much the endometriosis had spread. When they went in, they found that it had spread to all my lower organs (colon, ovary, stomach, etc.), they were fused together, and in the wrong locations.

They had to burn off all the lesions and clean up some of the severe scar tissue. So what was suppose to be a small laparoscopic surgery with two small incisions ended up being one very large incision with 22 staples. The doctor told my husband that he did a lot of moving around of the organs, which apparently equals a  large amount of pain!

With all that said, my advice? Don't go 4 years in between getting your checkup! Off to take my pain meds and dream about aliens and zombies fighting on the moon and creating a new species. (I have very strange dreams when I take pain meds)

The Magical Experience

When people speak about the magical experiences of Disney World, they are not exaggerating, this place is beyond amazing. To the wow factor of everything they have to offer to the impeccable customer service is like something I have never experienced before. They keep having customers come back because they live up to the magical experience. I am officially in love with this place.

Someone asked me in a text if it is worth the money to come. There really is no value that could be put on this experience for me. It has been worth it all to see my children's joy at every minute, not to mention, mine and my husband's joy.

If you ever get the chance, don't hesitate and just go for it.

Long time, no posts...

It has been awhile. This place that I once cherished is no something that I get to when I come up for air.

I am officially in my internship for teaching and love it! God is truly amazing by showing me that I belonged there. I would have never believed it before.

We are officially on spring break and are headed to Disney World. I am ecstatic! I can not wait to see the look on my youngest daughters face when she meets Mickey Mouse! A moment to be cherished forever.

I miss this little space of mine, but truly have had no extra time for it. It makes me sad because this is where I capture so many memories, but often you have to just focus on living that life instead of talking about it.

I am off to live again. See you when I see you.
