I love this song, but this video takes a long time to actually get to the song. It basically tells a story for the first two minutes then starts the singing. It's a great song though, I have loved it since they performed it on one of the music awards shows.
1. Do you call your significant other a pet name? What is it and why?
In my phone he put under as Big Daddy, but as in day to day, it's usually babe.
2. How long have you known your mate?
We met 9 years ago nearly to the day....it was such an amazing summer.
3. What makes a dad a Great Dad?
I asked my kids yesterday what their favorite things were about their daddy. Here is their answers:
Madame Emotions: "He works on the ambulance"
The Aggravator, "He cuts my hair into a Mohawk"
Miss Squeaky, "He puts me in your bed every morning and he plays with us."
Their answers had me laughing because they were so random but I think that is the things that kids pick up on. It's not what we buy them. Its that we are spending time with them in different ways, showing that we love them. I believe a great dad is one who listens to his children, plays with them, shows them how very important they are to him.
4. What did you do yesterday to celebrate Father’s Day?
We went to church which happen to be such an amazing service, then ate lunch with the kids, took a nap, spent the rest of the afternoon swimming, and then cooked daddy one of his favorite meals. It was a lovely day.
5. What does you mate do (or not do) that really gets on your nerves?
He leaves all his stuff (keys, his ambulance supplies like scissors, pen light, badges, and wallet) on the dresser even though I have a basket for all of it. It drives me crazy. Please just put your stuff in the basket not strung out all over the dresser! He has gotten a lot better in the past few weeks since I threw a child like fit over it but occasionally it just sits there, mocking me!
